Editorial Policy
Last updated:
Our goal is simple: publish information that is accurate, useful and written for people - not for search engines.
Accuracy and testing
- Step-by-step guides are tested on real devices before publication.
- Where behaviour differs between Android and iPhone, or between app versions, we say so.
- News is based on official announcements, app releases or features we can verify ourselves. We don’t publish rumours as fact.
Updates and corrections
Apps change often. We review popular guides regularly and show an “Updated” date when an article changes meaningfully. If you spot an error, please contact us - we correct factual mistakes promptly.
Our own app
Save Status is published by the team behind the Save Status Android app. When we mention or recommend our app, we say that it is ours. Mentions of our app never change the facts in a guide, and we always explain alternatives that don’t require any app.
Respect for creators and privacy
We only explain methods that work with content you already have access to. We don’t publish ways to bypass privacy settings, access other people’s accounts, or watch content you weren’t meant to see, and we encourage readers to ask before re-sharing someone else’s content.
Independence
We are not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, and we don’t accept payment for coverage. Any future sponsored content will be clearly labelled.
